She first appeared on stage in 1938, at the Szeged National Theatre, and later performed in provincial companies from 1952 until her retirement. She was a member of the Katona József Theatre in Kecskemét until 1977, but was also employed later. As a popular, versatile actress she sang the leading roles in operettas and musical plays, and excelled in prose character roles.
Short biography
She was born in Szeged on 25 June 1921. She studied at the actors’ school in her home town. She first appeared on stage at the Szeged National Theatre in 1938, then performed in provincial companies. From 1952 until her retirement in 1977, she was a member of the Katona József Theatre in Kecskemét, but was also employed later. As a popular, versatile actress, she sang the leading roles in operettas and musical plays, and excelled in prose character roles. Her husband was theatre director Vilmos Radó.
